Afilmmaker,playwright,poet,actor,singer/songwriterandyogateacher,JamesMorrisonwasborninUtahandisaproductofAlaska.HebeganhisactingcareerasaclownandwirewalkerfortheCarsonandBarnesWildAnimalCircusandservedhistheatricalapprenticeshipwiththeAlaskaRepertoryTheatre.Sincethen,hehasappearedatsomeofAmerica'sforemosttheatresincludingtheMcCarterTheatre,theLaJollaPlayhouse,theMarkTaperForum,theL.A.StageCompanyandTheOldGlobewithsuchrenowneddirectorsasEmilyMann,DesMcAnuff,JackO'Brien,CharlesNelsonReilly,JoseQuinteroandHarryMastrogeorge,hisactingteachersince1982.

HeistherecipientoftheLosAngelesDramaCriticsCircleAwardforOutstandingPerformanceandthreeDrama-LogueAwards.

HisradiocreditsincludetheKCRW,L.A.TheatreWorksproductionofTheRainmakerwiththecastoftheBroadwayrevival,theNPRandBBCco-productionofJuliusCaesarandtheNPRproductionofRubyMcColluminwhichhestarsasWilliamBradfordHuie.

Morrison'sshortfilm,Parking(1996),whichhewroteanddirected,wasproducedbyhiswife,RiadGalayini.
