FollowingproductionsatTheSecondCityDetroitandTheSecondCityNorthwest,hemovedtoNewYork.There,heformedacompanyofimprovisersandbeganstagingtheundergroundcriticallyacclaimed"BurnManhattan"alloverthecity.OtherperformersincludedKateWalsh,JeremyPiven,andSpencerKayden.

Asidefromhisworkinimprovisationaltheatre,Stashwickworkedforseveralyearsinlate1997throughSpring2000on"LateNightWithConanO'Brien,"performingaspartoftheirrotatingstableofcomedyactors.

WorkintelevisionandfilmultimatelydrewhimtoLosAngeles,wherehesoonlandedrolesinpilotsandseriesandfilm.

Stashwickremainstruetohisimprovisationalroots,andheproduces,performs,andteachesathisownimprovisationaltheatrethatheco-foundedinNorthHollywoodcalled"TheHothouse".InadditionheperformsannuallywiththeMacabreimprovcabaretTheDoubtfulGuestswhojustcelebratedtheir10-yearanniversary.Hehasalsotaughtandperformedhisuniquestyleofavant-gardeimprovisationinternationally.HedirectedashowinLiverpoolcalled"Hoof!,"whichstilltoursthroughoutEurope.

Heisalsothewriterandco-creatoroftheonlineaction/horrorwebcomic'DevilInside'.Hepublishesanewfreeepisodeweeklyonhiswebsite,www.toddstashwick.com.Thecomichasbroughthimtocomicbookconventionsacrossthecountrywithhiscollaborator,comicbookartistDennisCalero.

StashwickresidesinLosAngeleswithhiswifeCharity,whomhemarriedin1997inthemiddleofTimesSquareinfrontof20closefamilymembersandfriends,aswellasallofNewYorkCity.Thecouplehastwochildren.Theirhouseholdalsoincludestwodogs,twocats,andaconure(smallparrot).
